This Month in the Shop...
I love December in the shop! The air is cold outside, snow is falling and I'm in a warm shop making the chips fly....
6' Cherry Dresser
I should be able to finish the dresser this month. Designs are approved and wood is acclimated. I'll be assembling the structure which includes 12 drawers (none of which are the same size). Fine furniture does not use ball bearing glides for drawers, but relies on a perfect fit - kind of like a piston in its cylinder. The "skeleton" of this piece is steamed Beech, the part we will see will be Cherry.
5' Knotty Alder Dining Table
Will be starting this piece this month. It is designed to match an existing antique hutch.
