Pete Holzman moved to the serene and beautiful southern California mountain town of Idyllwild in the mid-nineties. At the same time, he decided to abandon his previous career as a Graphic Designer and Ad Agency owner in order to pursue his passion of making furniture full time.
While his skills in woodworking are mostly self-taught, his background as a designer is based on a B.S. degree in Graphic Design from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Art & Architecture. This 5 year program instilled in Pete a very formal sense of design, that carries over into his furniture. He is an active member in the furniture design community.
Pete and his wife, Sue Parker, are musicians, performing locally in Idyllwild. He is also a decorated Vietnam Combat Veteran.
